Uganda is a landlocked country located in East Africa known as “the Pearl of Africa” and for their world famous mountain gorillas. Its geography is very diverse, consisting of volcanic hills, mountains and lakes. It is known for the beautiful Lake Victoria which is the largest freshwater lake in Africa and the source of the River Nile. The capital of Uganda is Kampala and it is built around seven hills.  There are at least 32 languages spoken in Uganda, but English and Swahili are both official languages, but on the radio every day you can hear programming in over 20 languages.

Gorilla Tracking

Gorilla in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This is a UNESCO World heritage site and home to 50% of the world’s remaining mountain Gorillas. Gorilla tracking fees not only help with the conservation of these endangered gentle giants but also contribute to the social and economic development of communities that live around the national park.

Jinja

You will have an exciting day in what is also known as the adventure Capital of East Africa. This is home to the source of the Longest River in the world, The Nile and Uganda’s famous beer, the Nile Special.

Kamala

This is the capital city of Uganda, a country known for its very hospitable people and known as a city that never sleeps because of its vibrant nightlife. You will enjoy your time in Kampala from the people, their varied cultures to its history and food.

Community Projects

Community projects in Bwindi Forest and Kampala. For a first hand cultural immersion experience and improving the lives of people in impoverished communities in Uganda.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to Silver Springs hotel or similar in Kampala.

Day 2

Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Stay at Ride4aWoman Guest House. (B,L,D)

Day 3

Gorilla Tracking. Stay at Ride4aWoman Guest House. (B,L,D)

Day 4

Community Project through Ride4aWoman charity organization and village walk. Stay at Ride4aWoman Guest House. (B,L,D)

Day 5

Drive back to Kampala via the Kitagata Hot springs. Stay at Silver Springs hotel or similar. (B,L)

Day 6

Day at School or Community project. Stay at Silver Springs hotel or similar in Kampala.(B,L)

Day 7

Day at School or Community project. Stay at Silver springs hotel or similar in Kampala.(B,L)

Day 8

Day in Jinja – Ssezibwa Falls, Ziplining and boat cruise to the source of the River Nile. (B,L)

Day 9

Kampala City tour that may include but not limited to: Kabaka’s Palace in Mengo,  Independence Monument, Parliament of Uganda and end up at the African Crafts Market. In the evening, you will attend the Ndere traditional Cultural dance performance. Stay at Silver springs hotel or similar. (B,L,D)

Day 10

Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.(B)

Wildlife Safari

Wildlife safari to Murchison Falls National Park (Uganda’s largest National park) and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. You will be able to see and experience Uganda’s vast wildlife that includes Africa’s Big Five and take in the beauty of the jungle during a boat cruise on the Nile and see the magnificent Murchison Falls also known as the world’s most powerful waterfalls.

Day 7

Day 8

Day in Jinja – Choose between a Full day of White water rafting OR Zip Lining and Quad Biking. Stay at Silver springs hotel or similar in Kampala. (B,L)

Day 9
