12 Days Bike Tour Kabarole and Sempaya Hot Springs
These 12 days of the biking will take you off the main tourist routes, to experience open vast landscapes, interact with the community as you enjoy your freedom, see the ways of life of local communities, learn about people’s traditional values and explore nature at the Sempaya Hot Pprings and in Kibale Forest.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Entebbe/Transfer to guest house
We pick you from the Airport and transfer you to a Guest House in Entebbe.
Accommodation options:
The Boma, Turtle nest and Pineapple guest house. – Mid- range accommodation.
Day 2: Assemble bikes/Drive to Kyenjojo and then cycle to Fort Portal
Early morning checking/assembling of the mountain bikes, meet your guide then depart for a four hour drive to Kyenjojo Town the starting point of the biking tour. Accompanied by your Guides, you will bike to Fort Portal town and then spend a night there.

Day 3: Tour Fort Portal on bicycles/Visit a community in Fort Portal in the afternoon
Fort Portal is a very scenic town with gentle hills. Today you will get to enjoy this beautiful town while cycling through the town, communities and farmlands as you interact with the locals.
Day 4: Drive to Kicwamba and visit Bukuku Community Secondary school – Ride to the hot springs- Drive back to Fortportal
Today, you will ride from Fort Portal to Kichwamba and visit a community secondary school which is community owned and government aided, even though even with the government subsidy, many students cannot afford to pay $50 which is inclusive of school tuition, lunch and books. After visiting the school, you will continue on bicycles up to Sempaya hot springs in Semuliki National Park.
Day 5: Ride to Lake Nkuruba
Today, you will ride from Fort Portal to Lake Nkuruba camp site. Enjoy the scenery; interact with the community as you ride.

Day 6: Kasenda Crater Lakes tour and The Top of the world view on bikes/Visit the community
Kasenda has the highest crater lakes in Kabarole district, it is also known as the Crater Lake capital of Kabarole district. You will enjoy a ride through Kasenda, making a stop at every Crater Lake and interacting with the community. At the Top of the World View point, you will enjoy a view of most of the crater lakes, Mountain Rwenzori and Kibale Forest from one place. Later you will visit the local community be entertained.

Day 7 : Ride to Kibale Forest Park
From Kasenda, you will ride to Isunga in Kibale Forest. Enjoy the sights and sounds inclusive of Baboons by the roadside as you a pproach Kibale Forest.

Day 8: Chimpanzee tracking/Bigodi tour on bikes
You will spend the morning hours of this day tracking Chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park. After lunch, you will explore Bigodi swamp and the community on bikes.

Day 9: Ride to Fort Portal
Today, you will ride from Kibale Forest National Park to Fort Portal.

Day 10: Ride to visit a vocational school and a community
Today after breakfast, you will ride to visit a vocational school that trains in skills development and in the afternoon, you will ride to visit another community organization
Day 11: Drive to Entebbe/COVID-19 PCR tests
From Fort Portal, you will drive to Entebbe. On arrival, a doctor or two will find you at your accommodation and take your PCR test samples. Results will be received by email after 8 to 12 hours.
Day 12: Out bound Flight back home.
Today, depending on the time of your flight, you will be transferred to Entebbe International airport for your out bound flight.
The above tour itinerary is provisional and can be modified if necessary to meet the need of the clients. The rooms’ availability in the proposed lodges will be confirmed at the time of reserving the tour with us. Reserving early is recommended especially for the arrivals in high seasons for the sake of rooms’ availability. Prices may change depending on the entry fees to parks or if any of the accommodations increase their prices, you will be notified in advance if any of these occurrences take place.
